Editor's review
This is a tool for viewing reports from databases. Reports generated by Database Tour Pro or the Reportizer utilities by the publisher can be viewed through this utility.
Reportizer Viewer is a free database report viewing utility. The utility is able to view database reports generated by the software programs Database Pro and Reportizer from the same company. The user is able to preview, print, or export these reports. The utility works with relational databases through the ADO and BDE connections. The tool is available free from the publisher. The viewer can export the reports in HTML, XLS, TXT, BMP or STT formats and no user facilities are available to let you modify the reports even in some minor ways. The viewer interface is quite simple. It has the usual open, save, save as, copy and print controls. Some controls that make the viewing easier are a fixed set of magnification controls and an incremental zoom controls. With the control key depressed the mouse wheel also can be used as a zoom control.
There is a set of media player/slide show like controls that will help you flip through all the available reports, going forward or backwards. Loading reports, printing, exporting, specifying SQL parameters etc. can also be performed through the command line and thus can be used through programs. The viewer makes things easy on the client side. It will let you open static as well as dynamic reports. Static reports need only the pure viewing functionality, there is no need to open database connections on the client side. Dynamic viewing would require the client side viewer to open a connection to the data source of course. This product is for a very specific niche. It is good and handy tool if you are in the same environment.
